Unexplained Infertility and Infertility Stress
Naturally, couples are excited and pleased when they find out that they are going to have a child. To prospective parents who have been planning a birth, this is a time of great joy and blessedness. So, imagine the feelings of a couple who is anticipating their child’s birth no less eagerly, only to find that they can’t get pregnant. To say this is a stressful time seems woefully inaccurate and creates infertility stress.
That infertility stress is only compounded when the reasons for the infertility are unexplained. Unexplained infertility can have many causes, although they cannot be undeniably determined for a particular case and so, are unexplained.
Any abnormality in the Fallopian Tubes, no matter how insignificant, can cause infertility.
Abnormalities in the size, shape, or chromosome structure of a woman’s eggs will cause infertility.
Sperm that is abnormal or unhealthy will cause infertility.
LUF Syndrome occurs when a malfunction in ovulation causes eggs to be trapped rather than released and ovulation is, effectively, blocked.
Abnormal Luteal phase is an affliction of the menstrual cycle that interrupts the body’s preparation of the endometrial lining. This is effected by under or over development of the hormone progesterone.
Immune system malfunctions can cause the body to unwittingly attack good cells. Sometimes a woman’s own immune system will attack her eggs or a man’s immune system will cause his sperm to stick together. Either of these immune malfunctions will cause infertility.
Emotional factors play a significant role in the act of conception as well. Couple this with infertility stress and you have an equation for infertility.
Even when infertility is diagnosed as unexplained, there are procedures that can help induce conception and relieve infertility stress.
A woman can be given fertility drugs to stimulate egg production. Intrauterine insemination is the introduction of male sperm into the uterus in the hope it will penetrate and fertilize an egg. This is a commonly chosen procedure to assist reproduction.
In vitro fertilization can stand a good chance of helping an unexplained infertility become a joyful birth. In this process, the woman’s eggs are harvested and fertilized with the partner’s sperm, inside of a dish. The difference between in vitro fertilization and intrauterine insemination is that that instead of fertilization occurring in the woman’s uterus, it happens in a dish in the lab.

Infertility Stress
Certainly, the process of infertility treatment can be grueling and relentless. Along with the infertility stress and the strain of all the testing and treatment, are the emotional and financial concerns that assail a couple going through infertility procedures. Such stress can be extremely punishing on a woman since, in most cases, she is the one undergoing the medical treatment.
No matter what the case, it is often wise for couples that find themselves caught in this process to seek the advice of counseling or therapy. Group sessions often take place with other couples that are going through the exact same difficulties or you may seek private counseling if you feel this is best for your circumstance. Your physician can refer caring, experienced professionals who can help you begin coping with the effects of infertility stress.
