The Signs of Infertility Revealed
Infertility can be an issue for many women. Unfortunately, some women can show signs of infertility in the early stages, while others don't know there is a problem until they began the conception process.
If a woman has not become pregnant during a one year period, and they have been trying, then she should set an appointment to see her doctor. The definition of "Trying" means, having intercourse 3 times a week for a minimum of a one year. A couple needs to see their OBGYN or family doctor in order to get the proper diagnosis of infertility. If there is a problem, perhaps, a specialist needs to get involved.
Signs of Infertility - Irregular Menstrual Cycle
There are many signs of infertility in women; the most common is a menstrual cycle that is irregular. However, an irregular menstrual cycle does not necessarily mean that a woman is experiencing infertility; it could also point to a number of different problems.
Signs of Infertility - Weight Issues
An additional sign of infertility for a women can be a weight problem, either obese or to thin. For women who are too thin, they may be bordering on emaciation, which can lead to difficulty conceiving because they lack the general nutrients to do so. Contrastingly, obese women can be afflicted with hormonal problems, which can negatively affect the reproductive system and their ability to conceive.
Signs of Infertility - Alcohol and Substance Abuse
Alcohol and substance abuse can cause infertility to occur. Although, these are causes instead of signs, they do negatively impact a woman's chances to conceive. Ultimately, alcohol and drug abuse cause harmful damage to the women's body which discourages the correct growth of and conception of a fetus.
Signs of infertility are also present in men. Physical and anatomic signs may exist. For example, excessive varicose veins in the gonads or undescended testicles can negatively affect infertility.
Sometimes infertility signs in men are the result of outside causes. Heat exposure to the gonads and scrota area is a major cause of male infertility. Men, who wear tight jeans and underwear, may unknowingly be creating un-needed heat in these areas that can result in decreasing the sperms viability for conception.
Some of the signs of female infertility can also be seen in men. A man's infertility can also be negatively affected because of weight problems (obesity) and substance and alcohol abuse. In a similar way that a women's body cannot hold a pregnancy, a man may be affected because he cannot produce the correct amount or quality of sperm to conceive.
